Pulitzer Prize

2022

The Miami Herald staff won the Breaking News Pulitzer in 2022 for its reporting of the sudden collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside. The catastrophe that took place June 24, 2021 killed 98 people.

2022

Won first place in “Beat Reporting — Education” for the annual coverage of local South Florida issues affecting education.
